"What is Automotive Maintenance anyway?" you may ask. It's keeping your vehicle in good condition with lubrication and wear part replacement services at factory recommended intervals before something breaks.

But why should you do that?  Most of us have heard the phrase "Pay me now or pay me later".  It should be "Pay me more later".

Let me give just a couple of possible examples.

If the timing belt breaks the valves can hit the pistons & ruin the cylinder head causing it to need to be replaced as well. Or if a fuel filter plugs up it can cause the fuel pump to work too hard and overheat & go bad. Fuel pumps are usually inside the gas tank now days. That means draining & removing the tank.  If a spark plug or wire goes bad it can ruin the control module or computer in a VERY short time.

These can be a costly extra expense that can be avoided with regular maintenance service.
